Zip extends partnership with Stripe to US market

Zip has expanded its partnership with Stripe to the US, enabling merchants to easily integrate Zip’s BNPL solution, potentially driving customer growth and enhancing conversion rates.

Zip (ASX: ZIP), a leader in digital financial services, has announced a strategic expansion of its partnership with Stripe, bringing its Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) solution to U.S. merchants using Stripe. The integration allows eligible merchants to offer Zip as a payment method with just one click, aiming to drive new customer acquisition and boost conversion rates.

Previously, Zip partnered with Stripe in Australia, where the collaboration yielded positive results for merchants. Now, US based businesses using Stripe's payment interfaces, such as Payment Element and Checkout, can also benefit from this integration. This feature is expected to become generally available to US merchants later this year.

Zip has a substantial presence across the United States, Australia, and New Zealand, with 6.0 million active customers and over 79,000 merchants. The company’s innovative approach to BNPL is designed to enhance financial inclusion, offering accessible and flexible payment options. Zip’s algorithm caters to a broad demographic, opening up credit access to those traditionally underserved by financial institutions.

George Eliopoulos, Chief Commercial Officer at Zip

Our goal at Zip is to provide customers transparent and flexible credit solutions that enhance their financial autonomy while providing merchants access to a new and motivated customer base. Our strategic partnership with Stripe continues to deliver strong outcomes for merchants and customers in Australia, and we are excited to replicate the success in the United States.

Merchants using Stripe can activate Zip from their Stripe Dashboard without needing additional code. This streamlined process ensures a hassle-free integration, allowing businesses to quickly offer a BNPL option that could potentially enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.

For more information about the Zip and Stripe integration or to enable Zip as a payment option, merchants are encouraged to visit the Stripe documentation page or contact their Stripe account representative.
